Melbourne-based photographer Ben Thomas has traveled around the world and shot cities with the tilt-shift technique. The result are miniaturized cities that only increases more and more my aim to travel! And you?
Bus roots is a project that seeks to use plants in an urban context. That is why they have modified some city buses in the New York City area to create gardens on its roof. Designer Castro Cosio wants to use unusual spaces to give the city some more green zones and he actually says that if all the buses in New York had a garden on its roof, there would be more141.000 quadrat meters additional of vegetation!
While travelling people tend to ask you to bring them back a gift. This is essentially what we call souvenirs and, as a matter of fact, they are usually ugly, old-fashioned and not interesting at all. Canned air is also a dumb souvenir (air from New York City? Hello, polution in a can?), but at least the design is nice and they have gone a bit further on thinking about an original gift. Apparently each can has air from the most iconic landmarks of each city.
Would you buy it?
In this new video selection you’ll find a bit of art, a bit of good cinema and a bit of clever advertising. For once, everything is European. The great New York illustration has ben made by english designer Patrick Vale. The short movie (only in french, sorry!) was directed by Émilie Cherpitel. Finally, the Volkswagen Golf Rabbit commercial is currently broadcasted in Spain. Enjoy!
ENG. Cupcakes are cute stuff to eat (a bit sweet to my taste, though). Plus, they are photogenic so they’ve been a real trendy food lately.
Mixing this cute food with an elegant and yet interesting design well, I can’t find no reason for this combination not to be perfect. This is why it seems obvious to create a new business by combinating both factors. The result is “more”, a cupcake shop in NY where design and cuisine perfecttly fit in together. Nice things should never be divided!
CAT. Tens gana?

So you are in New York and you are sick of skyscrapers and people everywhere. You want to relax, but Central Park is full of tourists and is not the best place to be. Plus you’ve already seen it, and you are looking for something new. This is a suggestion: go to Chelsea Park so you can admire the forty piece environmental installation “Rainbow City” organised by Friends with you! The sculptures are going to be there for the whole summer, so might like to pack your lunch and have a picnic there! I did it if I could, believe me.
